It is hard to believe it is already time to begin planning for the following school year. Please take some time to carefully review the attached information, front and back sides, as it affects every family here.

(re-enrolling your child for the next school year)
St. Albert the Great Parish School will automatically re-enroll all current students in preschool - 7th grade for the 2019-2020 school year UNLESS the parent/guardian submits a letter in writing to Principal, Mrs. Ellen Martin, by January 18, 2019, stating your child(ren) will not be returning for the 2019-2020 school year.
On February 8, 2019, we will automatically draft your Pre-Registration fee of $100 per student (current returning students) through your FACTS account, in order to reserve your child’s spot in class for the 2019-2020 school year. If you are adding a new student next year, see below.
You will receive a notification from FACTS Management via email in advance before your account is drafted. If you have any questions, please contact Cheryl Harper at charper@stalbert.org or 425-3940, x107.
If your child is NOT returning for 2019-2020, please submit your intention to withdraw your student(s), in writing, to Mrs. Martin by January 18, 2019, to avoid being auto-drafted.
Current families who are adding a NEW student in preschool or kindergarten are required to submit a “New Student Application” and $100 non-refundable application fee per new student. The 2019-2020 applications along with the other new student documentation can be found at https://school.stalbert.org/admissions/forms/. Please note preschool and K-8th have separate applications and required documents.
The deadline to submit an application for a new sibling is January 18, 2019. We will accept applications after this date on a rolling basis, but applications submitted between 10/1/18 - 1/18/19 have first priority. After 1/18/19, we cannot guarantee parishioner enrollment. Due to high demand of preschool spots, your child could be placed on a wait list, pending availability, if an application is not received during our initial enrollment period.
Age Requirements for Preschool & Kindergarten:
Again, your new student will need a $100 check for their application fee, but your current student’s annual pre-registration ($100) fee, will be drafted from your FACTS account on February 8, 2019.
It is critical that we know how many students are returning and how many new siblings will be added to determine how many prospective students we can accept for the following school year. Thank you in advance for your cooperation!
Now is the time for all families with one or more children (Kindergarten-8th grade) enrolled in or applying to a Catholic elementary school in the Archdiocese of Louisville to apply for tuition assistance for the 2019-2020 school year. Families must submit their application, 2017 Federal tax return, 2017 W-2’s, and other non-taxable documentation along with the $25 processing fee by February 28, 2019.
Parish membership is not required to receive tuition assistance. Preschool students are not eligible for financial assistance.
Tuition assistance applications must be submitted between December 15, 2018 – February 28, 2019. Go to www.ceflou.org to apply. For assistance in filling out the online tuition assistance application please contact FACTS via their helpline at 1-866-441-4637. For St. Albert specific questions regarding tuition assistance please contact Lisa Kleyer at (502) 425-3940, x103 or lkleyer@stalbert.org.
We strongly encourage you to include “your story” on the application, in the Additional Question section, by explaining your personal situation in a brief, detailed statement. The extra information is often used to determine if, and how much aid is awarded.
Given the high volume of applications, we encourage you to submit your form early to ensure timely completion of the review process. Completed applications received by their deadline will participate in the initial grant awards allocation. A much smaller amount of tuition assistance may be available for forms submitted after that date. The more information you can include about your situation on the form, the better chance you have in receiving aid, if you qualify.
Catholic schools remain accessible to families of all economic backgrounds by offering a wide range of tuition assistance options. This year St. Albert families received over $195,810 in tuition aid from the Catholic Education Foundation, their partners, and St. Albert the Great. 25% of our school families receive some amount of financial aid.
