Wow! What a great weekend we were given. I hope you had a chance to enjoy the beautiful weather with your family. I hope we have more cool weather and sunshine before it turns gray and dreary.
Last week we celebrated #startwithhello week developed from the tragedy at Sandy Hook. We focused on reaching out to those around us that may be alone or feel isolated. It caused us to look beyond our group of friends and really see those around us. I hope you had a chance to look at the pictures and see the students having fun. It was heartwarming to see the kids reach out and pull others in for pictures or to dance at our dance party.
Could you continue our quest in reaching out by talking with your child(ren) about this? We can have a week dedicated to bringing this topic to the forefront but it takes parents at home talking about including all and seeing those who are alone or lonely to make the impact needed. Each one of your children is special and I want to help create an environment where everyone feels like they have someone who they can depend on. Together we can begin to make that happen.
LAST WEEK FOR BOOK FAIR PURCHASES! The Book Fair will be open until 8 pm during conferences and then online on Thursday and Friday.

See you at the book fair!
Given the growth and expansion of our bussing system at St. Albert, we are currently looking for someone to serve as a School Bus Captain for St. Albert. This is a new opportunity for someone to get involved and work with Administration and Miller Transportation on things such as bus routes, fees, the number of busses St. Albert uses, etc. We’d love for someone that has an interest in the bus procedures to take on this new advisory role. If you are interested, please reach out to Abby Goodloe at schoolboard-chair@stalbert.org

It's hard to believe it, but Parent/Teacher Conferences are just around the corner and we need your help. In keeping with tradition, the PTO will provide dinner for our teachers on both evenings of the conferences (Oct. 2nd and 3rd) in the teachers lounge. We are looking for volunteers to help serve, provide additional food items and help straighten up when it is over.
It is a wonderful way to show our gratitude to the teachers for all their hard work!! In addition it is an easy way to support the PTO if otherwise your schedule hasn't permitted.
Please consider helping us show how much we appreciate all the teachers do!
Thank you,
Jessica Sullivan and Kelli Tyler
