"In Case of Emergency"

Have you ever flown on a plane?

If so, you've heard the "in case of emergency talk" given by the flight attendants. Part of that talk says for parents to put the oxygen mask on THEMSELVES first, THEN help children.

It is difficult to be a good (or simply, a satisfactory parent) if we do not take care of ourselves. Reggie Joiner talks about parents needing to recharge in the Parent Cue Blog linked below.

Have a great week and take some time to recharge for yourself before the busy Holiday Season gets here!

OPEN HOUSE

Our current families are our best way to attract new school families.

How can you help?

  • If you know anyone looking for a Preschool (Preschool 3’s or Pre-K 4’s), Junior Kindergarten, or Kindergarten program for their little one OR a change in education for their 1st-8th grader, invite them to one of our Open House events! You can even offer to accompany them! If they can’t make October 22nd or November 3rd, encourage them to schedule a personal tour or student shadow day by calling 425-1804.
  • If you live on a main street in your neighborhood OR along a busy road, and would be willing to display a St. Albert Open House Sign in your yard for a few weeks, please sign up at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30E0E4EABAD22A3F94-fall.
  • Would your business allow flyers to be placed in a break room or lobby? If so, let us know and we will KidMail you some flyers to put out.
  • If you visit coffee shops, local businesses, restaurants, daycares, places families visit, etc. and would be willing to leave an Open House flyer or two there, let us know and we will KidMail your flyers.
  • Have you had a great experience at St. Albert? We hope so and we’d love to hear all about it! Please rate us and provide positive comments on Facebook, Google, and educational sites.
  • Make sure you “like” AND “follow” us on Facebook at “St. Albert the Great School” so you see all of our posts. Please like, comment, and share our posts, not only when we post recruitment information, but also other fun, interesting content.
  • If you would like to get involved, meet some new faces, and help spread the word about St. Albert the Great, we are always looking for great spirit and additional parents to assist with events like Open House. To sign up for any of the above or if you have questions, please contact Janelle Richardson at jrichadson@stalbert.org.

Fall Sports Gate and Concession Worker Sign-ups

New Slots are now added!

We once again need your help to support our St. Albert Vikings. Each family is required to sign up for one slot during the season. This means if your child is playing football, volleyball, flag football, cross country, K-2 soccer, cheerleading or powder puff football you need to work a shift in the St. Albert gym. These volunteer hours greatly reduce the cost of all sports at St. Albert.

If you wish to have a sub work your shift, please refer to either the sub list located on the Sports Ministry link or contact Kelly Logsdon at kelly.lewis.logsdon@gmail.com You will be responsible for paying the sub. If you don't find a sub and do not show up for your shift, your child will have to sit out a game. If you do find a sub and the sub does not show up, your child will not be penalized.

Spirit Wear

Spruce up your closet with some St. Albert and Lyndon Catholic Rams gear!

Our spirit wear store is now live! Click on the link and place your order. Orders will be taken until the 1st and 15th of every month until midnight. Then, the order will be ready in 5 business days and can be picked up at the store. The store (Soccertown) is located in Holiday Manor right next to Feeder's Supply.

Go Vikings and Rams!
