Upcoming EVENTS

LOST AND FOUND AT CAPACITY

Our Lost & Found area is at capacity with uniforms, winter coats, random clothes, water bottles and much more. This is the final week to claim your items. Lost and Found is accessible during school hours and on the weekend before & after Mass. All unclaimed items will be donated to the PTO's Used Uniform Sale or a non-profit organization on Monday, February 24th. Certainly, if you come to the Used Uniform Sale and find an item with your name on it, they will give it to you. But please ask your child(ren) to go through the bins this week or stop by yourself to look through our Lost & Found. Your items miss you! Thank you!

Be kind with our time

I love the bible verse that Janelle Richardson has posted on St. Albert’s social media accounts:

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted”

Matthew 5:4

We start the week off with heavy hearts thinking about the loss in our community of the moms and daughters that were lost in a tragic car accident over the weekend doing what we all do: supporting our children. We are reminded of the beautiful dedication of these strong women and the bright light they each brought to the community.

In this time of sorrow, we acknowledge that each moment that God has given us is a gift. A gift of time to spend and treasure with the ones that we love. Make that phone call to say, “I love you”, grab your son or daughter and give them an extra hug and kiss, smile at the people we meet throughout the day. We don’t get this time back, and we aren’t promised tomorrow.

Let’s treat one another with love, compassion and kindness. We don’t know what others have been through or are going through.

“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”

1 Corinthians 13:13

Summer Solutions is here!

Summer learning loss puts students at a serious disadvantage. This is when skills and knowledge are lost over the summer months, causing students to move backwards instead of progressing.

By spending just minutes a day with Summer Solutions, students get the practice they need to keep moving forward. It was designed to help students return to school after summer break confident in the skills they’ve already learned and ready to master new ones.

Your child worked hard all year. Make sure that progress sticks. Give your child the advantage of Summer Solutions.

Each book is $13.00

--- FROM YOUR PTO ---

Message from your PTO President

Parents,

I hope we all agree that St. Albert is a special place to send our children. However, it is not Hogwarts, and the things that make it special do not happen by magic. It takes dedication and work from parents like you. I sincerely want to thank all of those who help, in any capacity, to ensure that our children and school staff have a wonderful experience at St. Albert. I would like to invite you to attend our next PTO meeting THIS Wednesday 2/19 at 6:30pm in the Sacred Heart Center. If you are looking to get involved, great! Or, if you just want to be more aware of all the activities the PTO supports, please make time to attend. We are currently recruiting to fill the Vice President and Secretary positions for next year. We hope to seeing you there!

Chris Wahl

PTO President
