Hi everyone! I hope you have had a wonderful start to the school year at home. It seems like everyone is getting into a routine and learning the rules/expectations for each grade level here at school. I would like to welcome back our students and families and extend a warm welcome to our new families of St. Albert.
I would like to take just a minute to introduce myself. My name is Stacie Short. I am the school counselor. My primary role is to support your child and you in their school career here at St. Albert. I will work with your child(ren) in one of three ways during the school day. I can meet with students individually, in a small group, or in classroom guidance. I encourage you to reach out to me if there are concerns about your child. Please know that the concerns can be related to school or outside areas as well. I can meet with the student or you and see if we can find a solution. If that isn’t working then I can offer outside resources to you. Please let me know if I can help you in any way.
Our first priority is the safety of YOUR children. We appreciate those of you who come through carpool the way it has been designed. We understand that everyone wants to get out in a timely fashion. Believe us we want to make it as quick as possible too!
A happy family is a safe family! Here's to a great (& safe) school year!
We are in need of more volunteers for this school year. People usually work 1 or 2 days a month from 10:30am to 1:00pm serving and restocking food and helping with the dishes. Volunteers must have the safe environment training. Sign up at this link!
The Noble H. Kelly PSC at University of Louisville is running a group for children this fall that may be of benefit to some of our students: the Managing Frustration for Children (MFC) group for kids ages 8-11. A flyer is attached that describes the group. Parents that are interested may contact the clinic directly at 502-852-6782 to receive more information and/or enroll. You may contact me directly if you wish to get more information about these services
