Fall Break
We’re beginning our eighth week of school today. Since early in the school year, we have not had any positive COVID cases. Thank you parents for being diligent in keeping your kids home, if you think they might be sick. Thank you to our teachers and students for wearing your masks and continuing to sanitize desks, dividers, door knobs and restrooms. Thank you to our assistants for taking temperatures and helping to sanitize our school. All of us working together has contributed to keeping the number of positive COVID cases low in our school.
Now that we are going to have a few days off from school, we ask that you continue practicing healthy habits at home so we can all come back together next Monday. Also, if you’re going to be traveling over the fall break, please go to the state COVID website, kycovid19.ky.gov, and check the location where you’re planning to travel. Please follow the directives given in the travel advisory.
We hope everyone has a restful fall break!

PTO is Looking for a Stewardship Committee Co-Chair!
The Stewardship Committee is looking for a co-chair for this school year. Duties include working with the committee chair and parents from grades 5-7 to help organize service events and projects for each class. The service activities teach our students about service to others, which is the foundation of our Catholic faith. Through our actions, we are sharing God’s love with others in their time of need. If you would like more information please contact Peggy Hertel at ptostewardship@stalbert.org or 502-693-3398.
Yearbook Committee
The Yearbook committee would like to encourage parents, students, teachers, and staff to have their cameras ready! We will be incorporating a lot of candid photos into the yearbook this year. Special links to submit photos and more info coming soon!

CSAA Basketball
Happy basketball season to all!!
With approval from Fr. Dave, and the St. Albert parish, we will be participating in CSAA basketball! Now that schools have been in session, and procedures are known and in place, CSAA feels that we will be able to have basketball.
CSAA has asked all schools that will be participating for some basic information regarding numbers of players so they can plan accordingly. We are asking for a quick "information only" registration to gauge interest in participating in 3rd – 8th CSAA grade basketball this season. There are a few things to know about this step in the process:
An official registration will come from SAAM once leagues are designated by the CSAA.
There is no guarantee there will be leagues at every normal CSAA division as of yet, but we are hoping, which is why we’re gathering information.
The CSAA has gone to great lengths to create standard safety requirements that each school and gym must follow. Details of the plan are posted on the school and parish website under the Sports Ministry tab. You are required to check the registration box that you have read this document (See link below.)
There is no charge for this "information only" registration (Gameday registration link below)
All refunds from fall sign-ups have been put into your Gameday Wallet to be used for future sign ups. Registration is NOW open. We are asking for quick action on this. We need this registration completed by Monday, October 12th at 11:59pm. Go Vikings!

Why Pres?
Why Pres Wednesday is usually your opportunity to sit down to meet an administrator, learn about everything we have to offer your family, and for us to answer the question: Why Pres?
Like most things in 2020 - this admissions opportunity is going digital! You’ll get to meet members of our administration, Pres Girls, and Pres parents so any question you may have can be answered.
Each Wednesday evening in October beginning at 7:00 p.m., the Presentation admissions team will be hosting a Digital Why Pres Wednesday via Zoom. We invite both parents and Future Pres Girls to attend.
Not sure which to login to? We have designated nights for each grade school!

Catholic High School Placement Test Prep
The Catholic High School Placement Test will be administered to 8th graders at the Catholic High School of their choice on Saturday, December 12. Educational Resources will offer a test prep course again this year. The purpose of the course is to familiarize students with the test format and question types, show students how to eliminate answer choices, utilize effective test-taking strategies, and reduce anxiety. The teaching goal is to enable students to maximize their potential! Our test prep course can be in-person or online. Download the registration form at https://www.ertutor.com/test-prep/catholic/.
