This week, we enter into the final two weeks of the second trimester. Winter conferences are over, and we are heading into the end of February. It is a great time to look back at the school year so far and to celebrate all of our many accomplishments: both big and small. Our students are once again shining in academics, the arts, service, and athletics. They are smarter, kinder, and more resilient. The past couple of weeks, I have finally been able to get back into some classrooms again. I have seen so many wonderful things: partner work, small group work, and so many fun activities. Not only have I loved every minute in the classrooms, but the thing I have loved most is that our students are so happy, engaged, and flourishing in our amazing learning environment. Our community should be so proud of our dedicated faculty, staff, and parents for their continued support. The students are a beautiful reflection of the outstanding efforts of each one of you.

School Board Positions Open

School Board Openings

The School Board is now seeking volunteers and nominations for the open Voting Member positions for the upcoming 2022-23 school year. We are seeking individuals to fill the following two positions.

Policy Chair

The policy committee evaluates existing policies in the areas of Community Relations, Administration, Personnel, Students & Instruction and Business & Non-Instructional Operations. It also formulates any policy additions or changes needing to be addressed immediately. This is a great committee if you like rules or have experience in human resources, public relations, real estate, education, finance and law.

Development, PR & Marketing

The development, PR and marketing committee develops marketing strategy and assists with marketing activities. It cultivates relationships with school parents, parish members and alumni in terms of creating goodwill. This is a great committee if you are creative, enjoy event planning or social media. Experience in public relations, marketing, communications and development is also helpful.

If you would like to volunteer for an open position or submit a nomination, please email Aaron Giust, School Board Secretary, at
schoolboard-secretary@stalbert.org your first and last name (or nominee's name) along with a contact number and email address by Friday, March 4, 2022.

All volunteers and nominees are required to meet with current School Board members for a Discernment Meeting the afternoon of March 6, 2022, to learn more about the Board and the responsibilities of Voting Members. The session will be held online and will last about 30 minutes. Only interested parties will receive the meeting invite. If you have a conflict but are still interested, then please email Aaron Giust, School Board Secretary, at schoolboard-secretary@stalbert.org. Thank you!
