Letter from the Administration

November 8th, 2021
Thank You!

It’s hard to believe we are only two weeks away from Thanksgiving Break! During this season of Thanksgiving, I would like to thank you, the parents, who help make St. Albert the Great the wonderful place it is. The volunteer hours you spend in the classroom and on multiple committees, the donations of supplies and food preparation, and charitable gifts you make do not go unnoticed. I speak for the entire St. Albert staff in saying we would not accomplish what we do without your help. Thank you for entrusting us with your children each day at school, and for the opportunity we have to help your child reach his/her potential.
I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving Break making many happy memories, while spending time with your families!

Sincerely,

Debbie Abbott

Assistnat Principal

Please share this opportunity with your family and friends and help support our Parish and School community!

FINAL WEEK TO BUY FEAST DAY RAFFLE TICKETS!

WE HAVE ENTERED THE FINAL WEEK TO PURCHASE YOUR FEAST DAY RAFFLE TICKETS!

Online purchases must be made by Thursday, November 11th by 4:00pm. In-person tickets will be sold via the Parish Office through Friday, Nov. 12th. Final Ticket sales will occur after the 5:00pm Mass on Saturday, Nov. 13th. Our GRAND PRIZE drawing will be Sunday, Nov. 14th during the 10:30am Mass (livestreamed on YouTube).

We aim to sell 1000 tickets and currently are only halfway to our goal--we need your help! All proceeds go to offset the funds lost due to the cancellation of our Summer Picnic. This raffle helps our Parish and School community in a major financial way. We invite you to purchase your ticket online or via the Parish Office today.

covid protocol:

Parents of a vaccinated student may send a copy of their child's vaccination card to tpark@stalbert.org or to the school office to the attention of Tatum Park. If your vaccinated child is exposed to a positive case, you will still be contacted if they are within the 3-foot radius of the positive case. Vaccinated students do not need to quarantine. This is optional but would greatly help us in speeding up the process dealing with exposures and quarantining. Thank you!

Homework club schedule update

Many parents have asked if Mrs. O'Keefe will extend Homework Club to Thursdays. Beginning November the 4th through the end of the second trimester, Thursdays have been added to the Homework Club schedule . A decision will be made about extending Thursdays for the 3rd trimester in February at a later date.

Veterans Day -

mass for our military

We will be celebrating the courageous men and women who have served—and are serving—our country at Saint Albert the Great's Mass on November 11th at 9:25 AM. We would like to invite and encourage all active duty members and veterans of the military and their families. We would like our students to be able to experience and honor those who have served our great nation. Thank you!

SAAM Trivia night

Water bottles

Just a reminder, St. Albert water bottles can be purchased any time of the year through SAAM. Use the attached the link below to place your order. Bottles will be delivered to students every Friday.

⭐️ Students can also carry ANY clear, spill-proof water bottle, not just the St. Albert version.

⭐️ We are having a lot of students come down to the school office daily, requesting disposable water bottles. Please make sure your child brings a reusable water bottle from home each day.

⭐️ Water bottles are only permitted in JK-8 classrooms. NOT Preschool due to state regulations.

⭐️ Missing a water bottle? Check the Lost & Found. We have a nice assortment of abandoned bottles without names.

⭐️ Please label your water bottles. With 597 JK-8th grade students, we see a lot of bottles without names.

Gate and Concessions Workers needed

  • All families who have a child participating in fall sports must work one concession stand shift during the season. If you have not worked or paid the opt out fee, please select a time during the CSAA Volleyball Tournament.
