We've put together this handy guide that covers our uniform policy.
Here we go! We had our first official 2020-2021 faculty meeting this morning. We met virtually and discussed implementation of the many new policies and strategies we have been planning for over the summer. The month of August is typically the “two-a-days” for teachers during a typical school year. This year is looking more like “three-a-days” as we do our regular school preparations along with safety re-entry preparations. This week teachers will be planning with their grade levels, helping prepare for a safe re-entry, and solidifying their in person teaching plans as well as their RLO (remote learning option) plans.
We will be hosting five different virtual Orientations this week for our Preschool, Junior Kindergarten, and Kindergarten families as well as our 1-8 New Families. We want to wish all of you a great start to our 2020-2021 school year and welcome you to our Viking family! We are so happy you are here!
As we get started with this unprecedented school year, I ask that we begin the year with gratitude. We are so grateful for our St. Albert community. No matter what the school year looks like, we will work together to provide the safest environment, both physically and emotionally, while challenging students academically and growing spiritually. Thank you for your continued support as we “jump in” together. We may not know exactly what our 2020-2021 school year is going to look like, but we know it is going to be a great one!
We asked our new staff members to create a short video introducing themselves to our St. Albert Family. Welcome to the family, Mrs. Rameriez!
Give her a big St. Albert welcome!
Since our start date for school has been pushed back one week to August 19, we will also be pushing back the date to notify us about choosing the Remote Learning Option. If you would like to choose the Remote Learning Option for August, you will need to notify Lindsay Finley (lfinley@stalbert.org) by Wednesday, August 12. We will still be doing RLO on a month to month basis so that if you are wanting to make a change to in person instruction from RLO or RLO to in person instruction you will need to do that by the 25th of each month.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during these continually changing times.

Bit of a curve ball for Open Classroom:
We will be following the drop off/pick up process and requiring masks to be worn while traveling inside the school. Sanitizing stations will be placed throughout the building. This is an opportunity for students to find their homeroom, meet their teacher, and drop off school supplies.
Due to COVID-19 regulations with social distancing and the safety of our families, we will not be hosting our usual School Expo in the gym or the Used Uniform Sale in the Cafeteria during Open Classrooms.
If you need to turn in checks for the cafeteria, they can be mailed or dropped off in the school office M-F, 9:00AM-Noon.
*Please make sure you mark the checks CAFETERIA*
If you have questions about buses/Miller Transportation, please contact Larry Brunner at lbrunner@stalbert.org.
We will be adding school organization information and contact information to the Monday Memo, as needed, in lieu of booths being set up in the gym during Open Classrooms.
As always, if you have any questions about anything, please contact the school office at 425-1804 or Parish office at 425-3940.
If your contact information (home address, email, phone number, etc.) has changed recently or will be changing during the summer, please notify the school office by emailing Becky Fry (bfry@stalbert.org) and copying Bill Henderson (bhenderson@stalbert.org) with your new information.
In the link below, please find your child's incoming grade level for their summer reading list. Follow-up activities will take place in the classroom and library when school starts back up again in the fall. This summer reading list also includes links to the Kentucky Bluegrass Award nominees and Book Bee lists for the 2020-2021 school year. Happy reading!
