Yesterday we began the celebration of the third week of Advent, and we lit the pink candle on the Advent wreath. The theme for this third week of Advent is joy.

We are joyful because we are now more than half way through our Advent season of waiting to celebrate the birth of Jesus. Our joy doesn’t come from what we have on earth or who we are with. Our joy is a gift. It is the gift given to us that first Christmas in Jesus Christ.

This has been a difficult year to find joy in many things. I hope you and your families find the joy given to us this Christmas as we celebrate the birth of Jesus.

“Rejoice in the Lord always; again I say, Rejoice! The Lord is near.” Phil 4:4-5

This year we will be celebrating an additional number of Christmas Masses in order to accommodate capacity limits and social distancing. We will also be requiring reservations for each of our in-person Christmas Masses. Our Christmas Eve Livestream will be available to view at stalbert.org/live for those unable to attend in-person.

Christmas Mass reservations will be open beginning Monday, December 7th. Visit https://stalbert.galaxydigital.com/ to reserve your seats for Christmas Mass. Alternatively, you can call the Parish Office at 425-3940.

FIRST RECONCILIATION PARENT MEETING:

There will be a meeting for Parents with children in the First Grade with information on preparation for the Sacrament of First Reconciliation on January 14, 2021 at 7:00 pm in the Church. Is your Christmas To-Do List getting overwhelming? Running out of time to buy all your Christmas gifts? Don't know what to buy that extra special teacher?

Don't worry- The PTO has you covered. We are collecting money that will be divided out among our outstanding teachers.

Instead of receiving small gifts, each teacher will receive a substantial monetary gift that they can spend as they please. The teachers really enjoy receiving these monetary gifts during Christmastime.

You can also send your check (made out to the St. Albert PTO) to the school office in an envelope marked: “PTO Teacher’s Christmas Collection”. Deadline is TODAY, Dec.14th.
