Travel Buffers
Dear St. Albert Families,
You received a communication last Friday regarding changes to our school schedule. With fall break behind us, we set our sights on beginning the 2nd trimester of this school year today and continuing to work together to sustain in-person instruction. As we see a rise in COVID-19 cases and approach upcoming holiday breaks, holiday travel, and flu season, the next several weeks will be very telling.
As you know, our goal is always to maintain in-person instruction for as long as we are able to do so. While students participating in club sports and social gatherings outside of school are certainly individual family choices, they do have an impact on individuals who have no say in the choices made. Additionally, the choices that are made in the weeks and months ahead are critical to the safety and well-being of our students, faculty and staff, and our ability to maintain in-person instruction.
All of this being said, please note that the “holiday buffer days” now included in our school schedule are not intended to extend travel. We ask that you not extend travel during these times as the purpose of the buffer days is to minimize the spread of COVID-19 and keep our students safe upon returning to in-person instruction.
We thank you for your understanding and cooperation during these challenging and ever-changing times.

Assistant PrincipalPicture REtake Day Rescheduled
Because of us going online the week of our original date; The new date is Wednesday, Dec. 9th.
Remote Learning Option
What RLO is
The Remote Learning Option is for students quarantining due to a COVID-19 positive test or exposure to a positive COVID-19 case. Once a student has tested positive or has been in contact with a person within 48 hours of their positive test, parents can call the school office or email Lindsay Finley (lfinley@stalbert.org) to request to be added to the RLO program for the duration of the student’s quarantine. Please refer to the school COVID Response Website if you have any questions.
What RLO is not
The Remote Learning Option is not to be used for a sick day or two or for any type of trip. If your child is sick or is waiting for COVID-19 test results, it is considered a normal absent day. You can email your child’s homeroom teacher about getting the make up work sent home or telling the teacher your child will pick up the work when they return to school. If your family has planned a trip during the school year, follow the guidelines in the Parent/Student Handbook.

Lost & Found
Please claim Lost & Found items by Thursday, 11/12 before 2:30 PM. After this time, items will be donated to the PTO's Used Uniform Sale inventory. Parents are welcome to come through the school office this week to look through the bins. Please encourage your kiddos to check out the bins as well. Thank you!
Friday, 12:30 Dismissals Continue Through January
As stated in our September Sustainability Letter, we have evaluated the continuation of our Friday, 12:30 dismissals. At this time, we are going to continue the Friday, 12:30 dismissals through January when we will reevaluate the calendar/schedule again. As several Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese are adjusting their calendars during the Holiday season, we have currently decided to continue with our original school calendar with the addition of the Friday, 12:30 dismissals through January. Thank you for your understanding in this adjustment, and we will watch our circumstances and take into consideration recommendations from the CDC and Archdiocese should we need to make any further adjustments.
Morning Car pool times changing
Our morning carpool seems to be going great! With the colder weather approaching, we are now taking temperatures when students are entering the building. Since we have made such great improvements, we are going to move the drop off time from 7:15 to 7:25. This means our morning carpool will be from 7:25 - 7:50 each morning. We will start this adjusted time after Thanksgiving, on Monday, November 30.
