Letter from the Administration

As I read one of the daily devotions this past week for our morning announcements, I was enlightened by the simplicity of the scripture verse:

Matthew 25:44: “Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirst… and not minister to your needs?”

I have heard this verse many times, but this week, this verse hit me differently.

When I heard this verse in the past, it meant (to me) to feed the hungry and give to the needy. I hear this verse in my head when I see the people standing on the street corners begging for money. I always think to myself, “that is God’s child, just like me.”

As I read our devotion this past week, it explained that giving to the needy and feeding the hungry is important, but this verse also can be even more simple. Help anyone in need. Smile at the people you meet, it may brighten their day. Compliment someone, it may give them the confidence they need for the day. Help out someone that is busy, your willingness to help may bring a glimmer of peace. Spread love, joy and kindness! By doing this, you are a reflection of God’s love.

Have a wonderful week, and spread some happiness!
