The Last Monday Memo

The final week of the school year is upon us and sadly, the summer will be over before we know it. We pray that everyone has an awesome, safe and fun-filled summer. Remember to make memories with your kiddos, they will never be this little again!

Our teachers and students will enjoy a much needed break from the school schedule -- but the learning doesn't stop. Our staff will be attending multiple conferences over the summer to continue to grow in their crafts to better serve our families in the fall.

Don't forget that the Summer Picnic is coming up in just a few short weeks, it's always a great weekend! (More information down below.)

This is the final (weekly) Monday Memo of the school year. We will likely send out a communication or two over the summer but not on a regular schedule.

Don't forget about the different tutoring opportunities available (CLICK HERE FOR LIST) or all of the Summer Camps going on around town (CLICK HERE FOR LIST).

Enjoy your Summer!

Technology Class Website

Collecting New & Gently Used School Supplies

If you have new or gently used school supplies after this school year that you do not want/need, let us take those items and repurpose them for the greater good.

St. Albert the Great Parish School is partnering with UniKids, a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization in Louisville, KY, to provide school supplies to students in orphanages and low-income families in developing countries such as Ghana, Ethiopia, the Philippines, and Guinea Bissau. The recipient students are overwhelmingly excited when they receive crayons, markers, colored pencils, glue sticks, scissors, rulers, notepads, index card, etc.

Parents, please place your school supply items in the collection boxes found in the school office on weekdays or in the hall outside of the school office on your way to weekend Mass. We will be accepting items until Sunday, June 2nd. Thank you!

Through 8 weeks of summer overnight camp, as well as school programming in the spring and fall, YMCA Camp Piomingo provides experiential learning opportunities and encourages campers to develop both life skills and character education. Multiple studies have shown that the activities and atmosphere at summer camp not only prevents summer learning loss but also creates an outdoor classroom that taps into academic success.

We want all students to have the benefit of these experiences, so we are reaching out to see if there is an opportunity to work more closely with your school. I have proposed some ideas below and would appreciate it if you could let me know if you are the person we would work with or if there is someone else I should contact at your school. We are hoping to impact as many campers, families, and schools as possible.
