A Note from Mrs. Brown
Brown Bag Book Swap & Maker-Idea Night
We celebrated our God-given ability to create bravely this week during our first experience with Maker-Stations!
As students and families, we also need to embrace our right to read.
As the library media specialist, it’s my job and right to encourage and embrace books. We'll celebrate our freedom to read next week, September 23-29, during Banned Books Week.
Some of the most loved books have been challenged at one time or another. This includes well-known books such as Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss, brilliant poetry by Maya Angelou, J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter, and countless others!
To celebrate our freedom to read and create, you are invited to our first annual Brown Bag Book Swap & Maker-Idea Night!
Hope to see you there!
Mrs. Brown

St. Albert is Going Gold!
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and St. Albert is “Going Gold” to support this cause. Research for cures associated with childhood cancer is grossly underfunded, even though a child is diagnosed with cancer EVERY 2 MINUTES. Many of the children in our archdiocese schools have battled this disease.
To support childhood cancer awareness, our students have the option to add GOLD to their uniforms this Friday, Sept. 21.

PTO Conference Dinner Signups
It's hard to believe it, but Parent/Teacher Conferences are just around the corner and we need your help. In keeping with tradition, the PTO will provide dinner for our teachers on both evenings of the conferences (Oct. 2nd and 3rd) in the teachers lounge. We are looking for volunteers to help serve, provide additional food items and help straighten up when it is over.
It is a wonderful way to show our gratitude to the teachers for all their hard work!! In addition it is an easy way to support the PTO if otherwise your schedule hasn't permitted.
Please consider helping us show how much we appreciate all the teachers do!
Thank you,
Jessica Sullivan and Kelli Tyler

Please mark it to the attention of Larry Brunner. The schedule of dates and times to attend the class can be found below.
