Monday Memo
Week 36 | May 15-19
--- Letter from the administration ---
Happy Mother’s Day! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and were able to celebrate the very special relationships we have with Moms! Whether celebrating a Grandmother, Mom, Friend, or Daughter, there are so many “Mother” relationships to treasure and thank God for. I was so lucky to be able to spend part of my weekend in Ohio with my Mom, and part of the weekend at home with my daughters, and I am beyond thankful for that time with them.
As we are rounding the corner to the end of the year, I would like to circle back around to the beginning of the school year when Pam Horwitz visited our St. Albert community. Remember Pam telling us the story comparing our kids to the Chinese bamboo tree? The tree takes five years to grow and has to be watered and fertilized in the ground where it has been planted every day. It doesn’t break through the ground for five years. It is busy growing the roots for the plants’ foundation and strength. After five years, once it breaks through the ground, it will grow 90 feet tall in five weeks.
We have completed a year of gardening. As a team, with you, we have been watering and fertilizing by loving and nurturing, teaching our kids how to treat others, and sharing our belief in God and his love for them. We are all helping their roots to grow. It has not been a perfect greenhouse, but struggles and mistakes have helped make roots grow. It has been a wonderful year sharing this year of growth with you and your families.

2023/2024 Bus Registration Form
(Junior Kindergarten* - Eighth Grade)
PLEASE COMPLETE NO LATER THAN SUNDAY, MAY 27th.
THIS INFORMATION WILL BE USED TO COMPILE ROUTES AS WELL AS
EMERGENCY CONTACT LISTS.
Once we have determined the number of buses needed, we can provide a more accurate cost per family. At this time, we will not be collecting a deposit.
JK RIDERS*: In order for a junior kindergarten student to ride the bus, Miller Transportation requires them to be accompanied by a sibling.
As in the past, the bus cost will be determined by the number of participants, with payment made through FACTS.
NOTE: After May 27th we will no longer be accepting registrations. Families can be added later in the summer only if they can be accommodated on an existing route.
While Miller Transportation strives to accommodate as many families as possible on the routes, logistically that may not be possible for some families living outside of the normal boundaries. We ask that everyone apply and they will adjust routes to provide service to as many students as time allows.
