Archdiocese Survey Results

Please see the attached results from Parent and Student surveys conducted by the Archdiocese of Louisville earlier this fall. The results show the highest scoring items as well as the lowest scoring items surveyed and answered by St Albert parents and students. St. Albert and The Archdiocese of Louisville will use the survey results in goal setting and planning. Thank you to the 113 parents and 241 students (grades 5 - 8) that participated.

But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” . (Luke 2:10-12)

Calm Down for Christmas

Parents,

As we head into the final stretch before Christmas break I thought I would share with you a great way to calm a meltdown ( will work on you or the kids).

When a meltdown begins stop and give them a hug. Hold on to them for at least 10 seconds. It is amazing how you can feel that tension just drain out of them. Try it yourself first. When you feel stressed hug a family member. Ask them to hold on for about 10 seconds or longer. See what happens to your body and feel how it decompresses those pent up feelings.

Such an easy fix and it helps our kids know how much we love them.

Merry Christmas!! I pray that your holidays are filled with the joy of the birth of Christ and the love of family and friends.
