**Let Mr. Henderson know if you aren't receiving emails. Monday (08/10) was the first time we sent a text message out. You can reach Mr. Henderson at bhenderson@stalbert.org.
We are aware of the governor's recommendation that was made this afternoon (08/10/20), however we have not received guidance from the Archdiocese of Louisville Office of Catholic Schools. We will share more information as we know more.
Pictured above are our new desk shields! When students are behind the shields at their desk they are not required to wear a mask. But these girls thought theirs were cute so they left them on. But they didn't have to.
Due to some last minute decisions, involving teachers making the best choice for them and their families, Mrs. Koestel and Mrs Doheny have decided to not to return to St. Albert this year. We wish them and their families the best.
Please help me welcome our wonderful additions this year:
We are so excited that these people have joined our St. Albert family!
Missy Niedert's is our new part time Third Grade Assistant. Mrs. Niedert will be at St. Albert on Thursdays and Fridays.
Families that requested the optional RLO for their family can find the grade level plans below. This is the plan we will start the year with and we will be making adjustments as needed to fit the needs of our families.
Please direct all RLO questions to Lindsay Finley at lfinley@stalbert.org or leave a message or text at (502) 536-8761. Ms. Finley will be the liaison between students, parents, and teachers.
Since our start date for school has been pushed back one week to August 19, we will also be pushing back the date to notify us about choosing the Remote Learning Option. If you would like to choose the Remote Learning Option for August, you will need to notify Lindsay Finley (lfinley@stalbert.org) by Wednesday, August 12. We will still be doing RLO on a month to month basis so that if you are wanting to make a change to in person instruction from RLO or RLO to in person instruction you will need to do that by the 25th of each month.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during these continually changing times.
We welcome all of our new Vikings to St. Albert the Great this year! Our new families received WELCOME yard signs over the weekend. If you would like your child(ren) to be featured on our school social media sites, please send a picture of them (next to their yard sign) to Janelle Richardson at jrichardson@stalbert.org. We welcome you to our school family!
Mr. Henderson sent out a message on Friday evening with details about helpful tips for Sycamore and information about Carpool for this school year.
We've put together this handy guide that covers our uniform policy.
Bit of a curve ball for Open Classroom:
We will be following the drop off/pick up process and requiring masks to be worn while traveling inside the school. Sanitizing stations will be placed throughout the building. This is an opportunity for students to find their homeroom, meet their teacher, and drop off school supplies.
Due to COVID-19 regulations with social distancing and the safety of our families, we will not be hosting our usual School Expo in the gym or the Used Uniform Sale in the Cafeteria during Open Classrooms.
If you need to turn in checks for the cafeteria, they can be mailed or dropped off in the school office M-F, 9:00AM-Noon.
*Please make sure you mark the checks CAFETERIA*
If you have questions about buses/Miller Transportation, please contact Larry Brunner at lbrunner@stalbert.org.
We will be adding school organization information and contact information to the Monday Memo, as needed, in lieu of booths being set up in the gym during Open Classrooms.
As always, if you have any questions about anything, please contact the school office at 425-1804 or Parish office at 425-3940.
If your contact information (home address, email, phone number, etc.) has changed recently or will be changing during the summer, please notify the school office by emailing Becky Fry (bfry@stalbert.org) and copying Bill Henderson (bhenderson@stalbert.org) with your new information.
In the link below, please find your child's incoming grade level for their summer reading list. Follow-up activities will take place in the classroom and library when school starts back up again in the fall. This summer reading list also includes links to the Kentucky Bluegrass Award nominees and Book Bee lists for the 2020-2021 school year. Happy reading!
