Parent Orientation (Grades 1-8)

Parent Orientation is this Thursday, August 23rd, at 6:00 p.m., for parents with students in grades 1-8. Your child's teacher(s) will explain curriculum, homework, what to expect for the year, and how your partnership with them will help your child succeed this year. Presentations start every 30 minutes to allow parents to visit multiple homerooms if you have more than one child. Please go directly to your child’s homeroom unless noted differently below. We strongly encourage at least one parent from every family attend. This is a parents only event.

In addition to visiting classrooms, there will also be sessions offered in the library for parents who would like extra education as we transition from extrinsically motivated reading (AR) to intrinsically motivated lifelong reading. Please feel free to stop by the library at any of the Orientation sessions: 6:00, 6:30 and 7:00.

First grade will meet in Mrs. DeMuth's classroom: 1C
Second grade will meet in Mrs. Riley's classroom: 2B
Third grade will meet in Mrs. Doheny's room: 3B
Fourth grade will meet in Mrs. French's room: 4C
Fifth grade will meet in Mrs. Burton's room: 5A
Sixth grade will meet in Ms. Zirnheld's room: 6A
Seventh grade along with Mrs. Early will meet in Ms. Geerer's room: 7C
Eighth grade will meet in Ms. Boone's room: 8B

Save the Date: Walk-a-thon

Tuesday Sept. 19, 2018

It will be a great day for the whole family, so bring everyone out to support our school. Thank you so much to everyone that stopped by and picked up your packet at Open Classrooms. We will be sending the remainder home with the youngest/only child in your family this week.

If you do not have a packet by Wednesday, August 22nd, please stop by the office to pick one up or email us at ptowalk@stalbert.org and we will send one home via kidmail. Deadline for shirt orders is Friday, August 24th. Please join us for our kick off Pep Rally on Friday, August 24th at 1:50 in the gym!

Also find attached the Sponsorship Letter and form if your family or business would like to help sponsor this great event, we need these returned no later than Wednesday, August 29th!

Room Parent Sign Up

Becoming a Room Parent is a wonderful way to be involved in your child's classroom! You get to spend PTO money to throw Halloween, Christmas and Valentine parties. Look for sign up info in next week's Monday memo!

Party dates are: 10/31, 12/20 and 2/11 from 1:50-2:30pm. Preschool parties are from 9:15-10:15am

St. Albert PJ Pants & Stadium Blankets

Last Day to turn in Order Forms for St. Albert PJ Pants & Stadium Blankets is August 31st!!!

If you are interested in either of these products, please complete the attached form and send, along with check for payment, via kidmail to Molly Keiran in 4A. There will be a 3 week turn around time and we will be in touch when orders come in. If you have any questions, please email ptosweatshirts@stalbert.org

Fall Sports Gate and Concession Stand Workers

Each family is required to sign up for one slot during the season.

Please sign up for an available date/time to work the gate or concession stand. First come, first served!
When you sign up or sign up a sub, please note the name of the athlete(s) so you will receive credit for working.
After September 1st, the remaining slots will be randomly filled with families who have yet to sign up.
If you wish to have a sub work your shift, please refer to either the sub list located on the Sports Ministry link or contact Kelly Logsdon at kelly.lewis.logsdon@gmail.com You will be responsible for paying the sub.
