Upcoming EVENTS

EARLY DISMISSAL AND NO SCHOOL

REMINDER: We have a 12:30 Dismissal this Wednesday, Feb. 12. There is NO SCHOOL Thursday (2/13), Friday (2/14) or Monday (2/17).

--- From The Office ---

ATTENTION: IMPORTANT CARPOOL INFORMATION

Please share with anyone that participates in dropoff and/or dismissal.

Parents, Grandparents, and Guardians,

It is my pleasure to protect the students of our great St. Albert school. Since I am the consistent personnel of our school who is directing arrivals and dismissals during the day, I feel I must say something about the issues that I have seen. I know some people may think this is silly. But, when an accident occurs retribution is on the school and staff.

Often, I have children helping with the dropoff and dismissal. These children want to contribute to our school and one way is to volunteer as a safety patrol officer. They are given important jobs that include opening car doors and moving traffic cones. Our patrollers have been taught how to receive and dismiss cars. When a driver chooses to go against the rules we have set up it creates an unexpected event which may result in injuries. Three times in the past two weeks I have experienced decisions made by drivers that could have endangered our children. It is extremely important for all to follow the drop off and dismissal rules.

Please be advised that when you are parked behind the cones during afternoon dismissal this designates that you are in the second carpool line. Do not move the cones. This goes for the morning dropoff as well. Our students are instructed to put the cones out to end morning dropoff. Our teachers need to get back to their classes to start the day.

We understand that sometimes you run late in the morning please just drop off your students to the main office. If you are in a hurry in the afternoon please pick them up in the office. The students’ safety is our first concern. We ask that you adhere to the rules of dropoff and dismissal.

Sincerely,

Mr. MuchowMs. AdamMrs. Short
